Governor's Travel Control Board Travel Update

TO:
Agency Travel Coordinators
FROM:
Michael M. Rumman, Chairman
DATE:
October 29, 2003
SUBJECT:
Out-of-State Travel

#04-04

The Office of Management and Budget, in cooperation with the Governor’s Travel Control Board has modified the procedure for the processing of out-of-state travel requests. Effective immediately, agencies under the jurisdiction of the Board will no longer be required to receive approval from the Office of Management and Budget for out-of-state travel that does not require overnight lodging. Any out-of-state travel that includes overnight lodging, even at no cost to the state, will still require approval from the Office of Management and Budget prior to the anticipated departure date (per Travel Update 03-09).

The procedure for out-of-country travel remains in place.

As the appointed Travel Coordinator for your agency, it is your responsibility to disseminate this information to all appropriate personnel within your agency. If you have any questions, please contact Kelley Shaw at (217) 782-4705.
