June 10th Court Order

On Friday, June 10, 2011, a trial judge for the Sangamon County Circuit Court entered an order prohibiting any further State action in the awarding or signing of self-insurance contracts by the State of Illinois. At this time, the court�s decision negates the April 6, 2011, intent to award contracts to the two self-insured Open Access Plans, i.e. HealthLink OAP and PersonalCare OAP, and leaves the State and its members with no Open Access Plan options after June 30th. Until such time as the trial court�s order is reversed or superseded or emergency contracts can be completed, the only enrollment options for members are CIGNA, HMO Illinois or BlueAdvantage HMO.
