Subject: FY19 Travel Guide for State Employees

The Fiscal Year 2019 Travel Guide for State Employees is now available on the internet at: https://www.illinois.gov/cms/Employees/travel/Pages/default.aspx.

The Travel Guide contains information regarding travel by State employees. The Guide also contains the Fiscal Year 2019 Preferred Hotel Listing, a comprehensive guide to hotels that offer State employees quality accommodations at a discounted rate. The Preferred Hotel Listing is designed to assist travelers in locating hotels and identifying services to fit their specific needs. Employees are required to contact preferred hotels first when seeking overnight accommodations. The rates listed in the Preferred Hotel Listing are valid for travel on or after July 1, 2018, and will remain in effect through June 30, 2019, although rates may be based on availability. Direct billing is not a requirement for a hotel to be listed as a Preferred Hotel.

In past years, a printable PDF version of the complete Travel Guide was available. The printable guide is no longer available since the information contained in the online Travel Guide is updated frequently. If an employee is working from a printed copy of the Travel Guide the employee may not have access to the most up to date information available.
