Travel Update 11-04

Travel Update #11-04: Travel Update

TO: Agency Travel Coordinators
FROM: James P. Sledge, Chairman
DATE: March 29, 2011
SUBJECT: Bank of America Travel Card Program

The current contract the State of Illinois has entered into with Bank of America to provide travel card services will expire on April 22, 2011. On April 22, 2011 all cards will be invalid and accounts closed. Employees are directed to destroy the plastic card and cease use before that time. Any outstanding balance owed to Bank of America will continue to be billed and must be paid upon receipt.

At this time, another travel card vendor has not been selected. At the time when a new travel card program is in place, the Board will notify all appropriate personnel.

As the appointed Travel Coordinator for your agency, it is your responsibility to disseminate this information to all appropriate personnel within your agency. If you have any questions, please contact Kelley Shaw, State Travel Coordinator at (217) 782-4705 or by email at Kelley.Shaw@illinois.gov.
