Questions about bidding and/or selling goods and services to the State of Illinois?
All qualified vendors are invited to participate in bidding on the wide variety of commodities, equipment, and services purchased by the state. The Department of Central Management Services (CMS) is authorized by law to buy commodities, equipment, and services for State agencies and elected officials. (Please note that for construction-related work, you will need to contact the Department of Transportation or the Capital Development Board.)
Vendors are encouraged to access and read the Standard Procurement Rules and the Procurement Code
A listing of bids for supplies and services is available through BidBuy, the current eProcurement system.
To receive notifications, go to bidbuy.illinois.gov and click on Supplier Registration. Vendor employees can create a profile with the specific NIGP codes for the products and services they offer and receive email notification of new bid opportunities in those categories.
The bid must be submitted in BidBuy, unless otherwise specified. It is the responsibility of the vendor to ensure the bid is received prior to the designated official bid opening date and time shown on the solicitation. Late submittals will not be accepted
Bids for commodities, equipment, and services are opened by State employees.
